Flash.Me is a news app that I have been building with a few classmates for our final project at Medill. Given my advertising and copywriting background, the group asked me to come up with some concepts for potential adverts for the app. I chose to focus on the feelings of missing out and apathy as the driving factors why someone would use our app – reading a broadsheet paper is hard and boring, and missing out on a conversation at lunch because you’ve no idea what your co-workers are on about.
