My friend and I were talking about how we wanted to write stuff that wouldn’t really fit anywhere else online. We didn’t want to make personal blogs, but we didn’t necessarily always want to write hard news stories either. We wanted to write about things that interested us, like music, sports and technology. So I suggested we make our own site.
So we did. It’s called the Tumult.
I built the site pretty quickly using the Griffin WordPress theme, but if I get some spare time, I’ll probably build something bespoke.
Here’s a quick color palette I put together that felt to me like it captured the sportsy and informal tone we were going for:

We’re going to start writing more, when we have spare time and stories that make sense for the site.
